Position: 3PL Manager

Octopus Energy is expanding its heat pump, solar, EV charging and home energy product operations and is looking for a commercially minded 3PL Manager to take ownership of all third-party logistics partnerships across inbound, storage, fulfilment and distribution. This role combines hands-on operational oversight with strategic supplier and performance management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Day-to-day management of 3PL partners to ensure SLA delivery
- Troubleshooting operational issues and leading root-cause investigations
- Managing performance frameworks including KPIs and business reviews
- Delivering cost-to-serve improvements and supporting contract discussions
- Building reporting dashboards (OTIF, SLA, cost, sustainability)
- Driving collaboration across Operations, Finance and Procurement
What you’ll need:
- Strong experience managing 3PL/carrier partnerships end-to-end
- Proven background in performance management, cost optimisation and continuous improvement
- Analytical mindset with confidence using Excel/Power BI and reporting tools
- Effective communication and stakeholder management at all levels
